What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable trays to gradually shift your teeth into perfect positions. Unlike metal braces, Invisalign aligners are practically invisible and fit snugly over your teeth. We tailor them for you using advanced 3D imaging technology that maps out the complete treatment journey from the start to your brand new smile.

Why Choose Invisalign?
Convenience Meets Comfort
Sure, the idea of get-it-and-forget-it braces is tempting, but that’s one of the reasons why Invisalign is such a game-changer. These aligners are designed for easy removal and have no metal brackets or wires that could irritate your gums and mouth. Yes, you heard that right! You can take them off when eating, drinking, brushing, or flossing. Enjoy all your favorite foods without worry and easily maintain your oral hygiene routine.
Virtual Invisibility
One of the cool things about Invisalign that our patients love is how discreet it is. Unless someone gets up close and personal, they probably won’t notice you undergoing treatment. This makes Invisalign especially appealing for adults and teens who want to keep their teeth straightening low-key but still effective.
Tailored Specifically for You
Every smile is unique, and at Colonial Heights Dental Group, your dental care should be, too. Invisalign aligners are custom-made for your teeth, and your treatment plan is designed specifically to meet your needs. From start to finish, we’ll monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to ensure your new smile looks just right.
The Process: What to Expect
Initial Consultation
If you’re considering Invisalign, the first step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Creech and her skilled team. We’ll discuss your goals, assess your dental needs, and determine if Invisalign is the right choice for you. If it’s a go, we’ll take digital impressions, photos, and possibly X-rays to get a precise model of your teeth.
Customized Plan
We create a detailed 3D model of your teeth using your digital impressions. This model helps us envision the movement of each tooth and lay out a personalized treatment plan for you. You’ll even get to see a digital preview of your future smile!
Receiving Your Aligners
Once your custom aligners are ready, we’ll call you in to fit the first set. Typically, you’ll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, for 20-22 hours per day—which means you can remove them for meals and brushing. With each new set, your teeth will move gradually until they reach their desired positions.
Regular Check-Ups
Throughout your treatment, you’ll return to our office roughly every six weeks so we can check your progress and give you the next set of aligners. These visits also give us the opportunity to ensure your treatment stays on track and your results exceed your expectations.
Completion and Retention
When you’ve worn the last set of aligners, that doesn’t mean the journey is over! To keep your teeth from shifting back, we recommend retainers. You put in the work—let’s make sure it sticks!
Taking Care of Your Aligners
Since they’re easy to remove, keeping your aligners clean is a breeze. Just rinse them nightly and brush them gently with your toothbrush. Keep your aligners in their case when you’re not wearing them to avoid any damages or misplacements.
